Roots is part of the work of CHCET - Criccieth Holiday Club Evangelism Trust, which grew out of and now coordinates the Scripture Union Holiday Club in August each year. Roots is run primarily by volunteers and the profit from the work is fed back into CHCET which works year round in the area supporting the work of Rachel and John Settatree, the Trobwynt workers, and through the Neptune Hotel and Holiday Club Hall.

The Holiday Club Hall is the home of Criccieth Family Church (see link on home page) which again grew out of the work of the Holiday Club and is now a registered charity in its own right. CFC is committed to clear and faithful Bible teaching and meets each Sunday at 10.30 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. a warm welcome being extended to the many visitors to the town.
